There are data to show that the Singapore real estate market is decelerating with the updated figures showing that developers sold about half the 2,208 units they transacted in the previous month, which is just 1,078 private homes to be exact.

According to analysts, there is unlikely to be many new projects coming on the market as developers take stock. But they are not overly worried by the figures as the first few months of 2010 have been beyond expectations.

A total of 238 COCs were counted and it’s final. The final tally of the National Board of Canvassers showed Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer Benigno Aquino III with 15,208,678 votes, winning the presidential race with no surprise. His lead over second placer PMP presidential bet Joseph Estrada was 5,720,841 votes. Estrada garnered 9,487,837 votes.

Puwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) vice-presidential candidate Jejomar Binay, Estrada’s running mate, on the other hand, won the vice presidency with 14,645,574 votes in the final count. Aquino’s running mate, Manuel Roxas II, was in close second place with 13,918,490 votes.

There were talks that Binay won because relatives of Aquino, particularly the Cojuangcos, campaigned for the Noy-Bi (Aquino-Binay) tandem and not the LP tandem, especially in Mindanao.

Today was the historical event for us, Filipinos, my fellowmen and I casted our votes to choose the right candidates for the right positions. As we have noticed in the news, there are glitches and problems occurred during the counting of ballots with the PCOS Machine that resulted to most of them not to vote because they are exhausted enough in waiting for their turn.

This move to change on how we vote is indeed not yet fully been systematic, anyway we can learn and correct these mistakes so that in the next elections it would be as smooth as anyone could dream of.
