Huge fan of the site, I cannot believe Jehzlau is giving this phone away. Freaking crazy… I would love to have one, not sure what I could say that would make me stick out, though. Android 1.5 “Cupcake” is such a wonderful OS but it is upgradable to Android 2.1 “Eclair”. Wow, grant me the power of awesomeness, please Jehz. Can I finally give up my Nokia 1208? You know that’s a brick.

This would be my first android phone and I think it would be a great place to start! I uses Google Apps, and I think the 800mhz speed of the Galaxy Spica, as well as native integration of Google mail and calendar, would make it a great productivity tool for someone working in online marketing field.

In conclusion, the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica is the super phone that super-shines, super-flies, and super-performs any other phone out there for soon-to-be-first-time handlers like me. As a super achiever, I feel that I need a phone that can match my super talents. The Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica is super enough to exceed my super expectations.

ASUS Ultimate 2009 Overclocking Show is an upcoming event in Cebu sponsored by ASUS – the world’s leading motherboard manufacturer and certainly the best mobo in the whole wide world hehe… (Link 1, Link 2, and Link 3) Although I have been using an ECS mobo for quite some time and as well as Gigabyte and MSI mobos in our office before,  ASUS has never been a problem to me and it’s still alive and kicking until now. My ECS lasted only for more than a year, MSI and Gigabytes never worked fully stable and they both suck in features wise and in overclocking. I will not recommend those cheap mobos based on my practical experience!!!

Now, speaking of overclocking ASUS is very capable and popular to that in fact annually ASUS is always conducting an overclocking contest. A sample video shown below. There are so many geeks and bunch of supernerds together and they will save the world forever! haha…

As you can see, they’re using some liquids to cool off their system. The basic idea of overclocking is the more you overclock and the more voltages used, the hotter the component gets. Some desperate overclockers are using liquid nitrogen just to reach the maximum overclock speed in GHz.

Overclocking is mostly used by gamers to improve performance levels by about 15%,20% sometimes or mainly to increase the fps(frames per second)in a game. There are many types of overclocking like cpu,gpu and ram memory.

The cons though is it might shorten life of components and temperatures start to increase.

Some pros can even overclock to increase their performance level by about 40% with stability

I don’t know if these are stable or not. AMD’s fastest FX single core chips are very hard to overclock, and AMD’s dual core are hard to reach 3GHz, yet Intel’s dual core chips usually can reach near or just over 4GHz only using a good air cooling system.

There are always those who are willing to take things one step further than others. Overclocking is cool and all, but this extends beyond what some would perhaps call useful. Still a milestone though.
